Event narrative

The Pack fire started at approximately 11:15 AM on the 13th west of US-395 and McGee Creek. The fire quickly grew to nearly 2,000 acres, with nearby mesonet stations showing wind gusts upwards 40-50 mph. As of November 19th, 30 structures are confirmed destroyed and another 6 damaged. The majority of the damaged occurred in the unincorporated community of McGee Creek.

Wider weather episode

The Pack Fire started west of US-395 near Lake Crowley out around 11am on the 13th. Quickly grew to around 2,000 acres under 40-50 mph wind gusts. The fire destroyed 30 structures while 6 were damaged.
