An upper level disturbance moved across the Four Corners area late November 16th into early November 17th. This brought some light rain and mountain snow to western and central New Mexico. Strong mid level winds at the base of this disturbance resulted in some mountain wave activity across the south central mountains resulting in several high wind gusts peaking at 69 mph at the Smokey Bear RAWS just before and after midnight local time.
