A 58-year-old female from Daytona Beach was pulled unconscious from the ocean near 150 S Ocean Ave in Daytona Beach. She was transported to a nearby hospital where she eventually succumbed to her injuries on Friday, October 3, 2025. A second swimmer was rescued at the same time; however, they did not require medical treatment.
