A tree fell on a UPS Truck near the intersection of Blounts Corner Road and Days Point Road, resulting in an injury.

The wider storm

A positively tilted upper trough was located west of the region with a weak surface trough just east of the Blue Ridge. Sufficient wind shear and instability resulted in a few strong to severe wind gusts in the afternoon through the late evening hours.
