The Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) site at the Charleston International Airport (KCHS) measured a minimum wind chill value of 20 degrees (F).

Behind a departing cold front, cold temperatures and elevated northwest winds combined to produce dangerously cold wind chill temperatures across southeast South Carolina. A few sites measured wind chill values as low as 20 degrees which meets the local criteria for a Cold Weather Advisory.
