Event narrative

Rio Blanco overflowed its banks, flooding sectors of PR-31 from Rio Blanco bridge to La Fe Park in Naguabo. Three cars were stranded with people inside.

Wider weather episode

A tropical wave moving over the islands lead to heavy showers and t-storms. Breezy east to east-southeast winds also persisted. The tropical wave resulted in thunderstorms with frequent lightning and strong wind gusts. Flooding, debris flow and thunderstorm wind damage were reported at the first day of the month.
