Icy conditions necessitated the closure of the Going-to-the-Sun Road within Glacier National Park. The hazardous surface was a direct result of up to 4 inches of snow that fell across the area.

Wider weather episode

A cold upper level low pressure system brought snow to the higher elevations of western Montana. This led to wintry impacts in Glacier National Park.
