Snowfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches were observed.

A developing coastal low pressure off the North Carolina coast slowly moved northeast toward the 40 degree North/70 degree West benchmark on December 2nd. Light snow overspread northern NY around daybreak and exited by early to mid-afternoon with several inches of snow in northeast NY but more than 6 inches in the Capital District of NY.
