Calm winds and clear skies with low-level saturation behind a cold frontal passage promoted the development of dense fog, mainly over Western Kentucky. Dense fog also occurred in far Southeast Missouri late evening into the overnight hours, mostly in counties adjacent to the Mississippi River from the Ohio River confluence and southward.
