The wider storm

Calm winds and clear skies with low-level saturation behind a cold frontal passage promoted the development of dense fog, mainly over Western Kentucky. Dense fog also occurred in far Southern Illinois late evening through the early morning hours, mostly in counties adjacent to the Ohio River.
