Event narrative
Moderate to heavy snow developed during the morning hours of November 29th and continued through the early morning hours of November 30th. This was a wet snow with total snow accumulations generally ranging between 6 and 8 inches. There was a report of 7.5 inches in Marion. Visibilities were reduced to a quarter of a mile at times in heavier snow. Numerous slide-offs and accidents were reported across the region, including a 10 to 15 car pile-up on Interstate 69 near the 267 mile marker. Multiple people were taken to the hospital following the pile-up with minor injuries.
