On the evening of November 10th, a passing arctic cold front ushering in colder temperatures caused rain to change over to snow across southwest Virginia, setting forth the first winter weather event of the 2025-2026 season. This was a short-lived event for Buchanan and Dickenson Counties, as snow showers wrapped up around daybreak on the morning of the 11th. Snowfall totals of less than an inch were measured with this event in southwest Virginia.
