October 2025 saw marked improvement in drought conditions across the Missouri Bootheel, driven mainly by above-average rainfall. While severe drought (D2) and moderate drought (D1) continued in parts of the region at times during the month, the overall trend was toward diminished drought intensity and location by late October.
