Drought — Lake, Tennessee

2025-10-01 to 2025-10-06 · Lake, Tennessee

Event narrative

Severe Drought (D2) conditions persisted across portions of Lake county through early October. By the end of the month, Abnormally Dry (D0) conditions were found.

Wider weather episode

October 2025 saw marked improvement in drought conditions across West Tennessee, driven mainly by above-average rainfall, especially during the final week of October. While severe drought (D2) and moderate drought (D1) continued in parts of the region at times during the month, the overall trend was toward diminished drought intensity by late October. A few counties near the Tennessee River persisted D2 conditions through the entire month, but the swath of the D2 continuously shrunk in size each week.
