During the evening, a cold front moved through changing all precipitation to snow. Bursts of snow continued through the overnight before tapering to snow showers by daybreak December 11th. Snowfall accumulations of four to eight inches were observed. Winds gusted to 50 mph resulting in significant blowing snow. The combination of blowing and falling snow reduced visibilities below one quarter of a mile for several consecutive hours resulting in blizzard criteria.
