What the National Weather Service wrote
Ambient weather station West View Estates measured a 62 mph wind gust. Two other ambient weather stations also measured a high wind gust.
The wider storm
A cold front passage on the morning of November 7th allowed for strong mid level winds to mix down to the surface. This brought windy conditions to the North-Central MT plains. Another round of strong winds arrived Friday from a potent low-level jet.
