Emergency management officials reported flash flooding along Calle San Thomas in Ponce. Heavy rainfall caused the roadway to flood, rendering it impassable.

A moist and unstable weather pattern, caused by the passage of Tropical Cyclone Melissa off to the south across the Caribbean Sea, affected the islands and led to periods of intense thunderstorms. These thunderstorms resulted in localized impacts, including wind damage and flooding in several areas.
