The 911 Call Center reported that a tree fell onto a residence in the Santo Domingo area of Peuelas. The fallen tree brought down power lines, resulting in a power outage affecting the surrounding area.

Wider weather episode

A moist and unstable weather pattern, caused by the passage of Tropical Cyclone Melissa off to the south across the Caribbean Sea, affected the islands and led to periods of intense thunderstorms. These thunderstorms resulted in localized impacts, including wind damage and flooding in several areas.
