The 911 Call Center reported that thunderstorm winds caused a tree to fall onto the roadway in Bayamn, blocking traffic near the Amigo supermarket. The obstruction disrupted traffic flow.

A moist and unstable weather pattern, caused by the passage of Tropical Cyclone Melissa off to the south across the Caribbean Sea, affected the islands and led to periods of intense thunderstorms. These thunderstorms resulted in localized impacts, including wind damage and flooding in several areas.
