Event narrative

A power outage to 21 Duke Energy customers was caused by thunderstorm winds.

Wider weather episode

Showers and thunderstorms ahead of a cold front affected the coast during the early morning hours of December 2nd. Storms were in a mix of a squall line and individual cells ahead of the line. A few measured gusts in excess of 40 mph were measured along the coast with the peak gust of 53 mph measured at a private weather station along the Gulf county coast. Some power outages due to the storms occurred on Cape San Blas.
