Wider weather episode
A weak upper storm system helped trigger widely scattered thunderstorm activity across Oklahoma and western-north on the evening of the 23rd. Sufficient wind shear and instability promoted organized thunderstorm modes, including a few supercell thunderstorms, during this episode. A hail and wind-producing supercell thunderstorm moved along the Red River vicinity in the mid-evening.
