A thunderstorm produced ping pong ball size hail in Val Verde Park Estates near the Val Verde County jail near Hamilton Ln. and Hwy 90.

An upper-level shortwave trough and Pacific cold front moved into an unusually moist airmass over South-Central Texas. These features combined to generate thunderstorms some of which produced a tornado, damaging wind gusts, and large hail.
