A thunderstorm produced wind gusts estimated at 60 mph that peeled some metal sheeting off a house on Canyon Lake.

An upper-level shortwave trough and Pacific cold front moved into an unusually moist airmass over South-Central Texas. These features combined to generate thunderstorms some of which produced a tornado, damaging wind gusts, and large hail.
