Event narrative

A thunderstorm produced wind gusts estimated at 75 mph. Two large Oak trees were uprooted. Several medium size metal buildings (12x20, 10x12, 60x100) were damaged or destroyed. All of the damage was near Dale.

Wider weather episode

An upper-level shortwave trough and Pacific cold front moved into an unusually moist airmass over South-Central Texas. These features combined to generate thunderstorms some of which produced a tornado, damaging wind gusts, and large hail.
