Event narrative

Northwest winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts to around 60 mph were common across western Cherry County during the morning hours into the early afternoon hours. A mesonet site 13 miles west northwest of Merritt Reservoir recorded the highest peak wind gust of 63 mph at 849 am MST.

Strong northwest winds of 30 to 40 mph with a gusts to around 60 mph occurred across north central Nebraska into portions of southwest Nebraska during the morning hours until the mid afternoon hours on November 25th. Peak wind gusts reached 61 mph or higher at the Imperial, Broken Bow and Valentine ASOS stations.
