Event narrative

Northwest winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts to around 60 mph were common across Blaine County during the morning hours into the mid afternoon hours. A nearby mesonet site near Sargent recorded the highest peak wind gust of 67 mph at 106 pm CST, while the nearby Broken Bow ASOS site recorded a peak wind gust of 62 mph at 1010 am CST.

Wider weather episode

Strong northwest winds of 30 to 40 mph with a gusts to around 60 mph occurred across north central Nebraska into portions of southwest Nebraska during the morning hours until the mid afternoon hours on November 25th. Peak wind gusts reached 61 mph or higher at the Imperial, Broken Bow and Valentine ASOS stations.
