Northwest winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts to near 60 mph were common across Rock County during the morning hours into the mid afternoon hours. A mesonet site 8 miles north of Bassett recorded a peak wind gust of 60 mph at 150 pm CST.

Wider weather episode

Strong northwest winds of 30 to 40 mph with a gusts to around 60 mph occurred across north central Nebraska into portions of southwest Nebraska during the morning hours until the mid afternoon hours on November 25th. Peak wind gusts reached 61 mph or higher at the Imperial, Broken Bow and Valentine ASOS stations.
