Event narrative

A power line was knocked down on Barham Street south of Ash Street in Jackson. The power line knocked a large branch off a tree as well.

Wider weather episode

A fast-moving front pushed into the Mid-South during the evening hours of October 18th. Copious amounts of shear combined with a moderate amount of instability resulted in a line of thunderstorms along and ahead of the front that produced isolated damaging winds.
