The mesonet station at Northstar Ski Summit (DDNSW) recorded a wind gust of 60 mph. In addition, the mesonet station at Meyers3400-Upland (LIB11) recorded a wind gust to 58 mph.
Wider weather episode
By the middle of the month, a wet and stormy pattern returned the region. This caused several days of strong winds, with gusts upwards of 80 mph on the Sierra ridges and 60 mph in wind prone areas in Mono County. Additionally, light snow was reported in the Sierra, with overall light amounts.
