Mesonet station Slide 0.9 E Mount Rose (DRI) recorded a wind gust of 72 mph.

Wider weather episode

By the middle of the month, a wet and stormy pattern returned the region. This caused several days of strong winds, with gusts upwards of 80 mph on the Sierra ridges. Additionally, light snow was reported in the Sierra, with overall light amounts above 7,000 feet.
