High standing water with water levels above tires on some cars with leaf debris in water with of occurrence estimated. One fatality was reported by FDNY as a men entered the basement to save his dog and drowned.

A widespread rainfall of 1.5 to 2.5 inches resulted in flooding as a frontal system triggered thunderstorms across the NYC Metro area.
