Ambient weather site named Summer646 located 9 N Page City recorded a 77 mph wind gust. In the town of Colby the public measured a 73 mph wind gust. A 68 mph wind gust was recorded in Rexford via weather underground site KKSREXFO12. A 59 mph wind gust was recorded at the Colby Airport (KCBK).

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front brought high wind gusts up to 85 mph across northwest Kansas during the evening of the 17th into the early morning of the 18th. Numerous wind gusts of 58-80+ mph were observed, with the strongest being just west of Goodland topping out at 85 mph.
