The highest snowfall totals across Vilas County included 18 inches in Presque Isle, 12 inches in Rest Lake, 9 inches in Boulder Junction, and 8.5 inches near Boulder Junction. Over 9,000 were reported without power in Vilas County.

Wider weather episode

A deepening low pressure system tracked through Wisconsin Tuesday evening (11/25) and slowly tracked through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Wednesday (11/26). Rain changed over to snow Tuesday night (11/25) into Wednesday morning (11/26) across the region as west to northwest winds increased to 40 to 50 mph on Wednesday (11/26). The combination of heavy snow and gusty winds caused significant blowing snow along with power outages across north-central Wisconsin. Over 9,000 were reported without power in Vilas County and over 2,000 in Oneida County.

Some of the highest snowfall totals included 18 inches in Presque Isle (Vilas Co.), 12 inches in Rest Lake (Vilas Co.), 9 inches in Boulder Junction (Vilas Co.), and 7.2 inches in Minocqua (Oneida Co.).
