Wider weather episode

Anomalous moisture from Tropical Storm Priscilla remained across much of the western CONUS on the 11th, though drying mid-level air paved the way for clearing skies in the late afternoon. These clearer skies paired with a passing cold front lead to greatly cooler overnight lows. Widespread fog and mist developed across the region's valleys as a result, including dense fog along portions of the I-70 corridor.
