Mesonet station DELMT Dellwo (MCSCN) measured a 73 mph wind gust. They also measured an average of 50 mph sustained winds from 22:15 and 23:15 MST. Mesonet station MTCTS Choteau South (MT DOT) also measured a high wind gust.

Wider weather episode

An upper-level ridge broke down Thursday and Friday, bringing strong mid-level winds. This combined with a pressure gradient tightening up brought strong winds to the Rocky Mountain front on the 13th. These strong winds spilled out further east to the plains along Highway 200 corridor on the 14th.
