ASOS station KCTB Cut Bank Airport measured a 63 mph wind gust. They also sustained an average 42 mph between 9:30 and 14:25 MST. Montana mesonet station Mission Lake S also reported a high wind gust.
Wider weather episode
A strong pressure gradient set up along the Rocky Mountain Front, which brought localized high winds to eastern Glacier County.
