A very slow moving warm front stretched from west to east across southern portions of the Quad State the evening of the 20th into the early morning hours of the 21st. Pockets of intermittent dense fog developed, at times accompanied by light rain, and generally with calm or 3mph winds. In Southern Illinois, fog development was most prominent near the IL-13 corridor.
