Mesonet 4 miles NE of Cabazon reported measure wind gust from thunderstorm of 49 mph. SCE Stubbe Canyon Obs reported a 49 mph wind gust at 2:30 pm.

Remnant tropical moisture from Tropical Storm Priscilla was drawn northward into Southern California and, combined with weak instability and upper level difluence provided by a trough to the northwest of the area, resulted in scattered showers and thunderstorms.
