An area of overrunning precipitation overspread the Mid-Atlantic as cold air remained trapped along and east of the Alleghenies. This resulted in a period of sleet and freezing rain which resulted in a glaze to a tenth or so of ice accretion east of the Alleghenies. Across eastern Garrett County and western Allegany County, an ice storm was observed with amounts generally between two to three tenths. Sleet amounts were less than a half an inch across the area.
