Showdown Ski area reported 9 inches total event snow over several daily summary reports for snowfall.

The wider storm

A jet streak brought an initial round of mainly mountain snow across the region December 4th into early December 5th. After a break, a more potent wave progressed across the Northern Rockies, bringing additional heavy snow. All in all, mountains seeing the heaviest snow were across the Central Montana ranges and southward.
