A trained spotter near Silver City reported a 73 mph gust. MT DOT sensor at Sieben Flats also measured two gusts in excess of 58 mph.

Wider weather episode

Another shortwave parading across the Northern Rockies within a zonal flow aloft promoted another windy period December 10th into the 11th. While the strongest gusts were more isolated than previous events, there were still plenty of reports along and near the Continental Divide.
