Trained spotters reported high end advisory snow criteria with 4.8 inches at 1 WSW Armonk, 4.6 inches at White Plains, and 4.1 inches at 2 NW Woodlawn. The public reported 4.0 inches at 2 ENE Peekskill. Cocorahs reported 3.9 inches in South Salem, 3.5 inches in Shrub Oak, and 5.0 inches at 2 NE Ossining and 2 E Ossining.

Advisory and some Warning level snowfall occurred across SE New York. An quasi arctic / polar boundary moved across the region as elongated weak low pressure formed along the boundary and moved along the boundary to the east northeast. The region was on the cold side of the boundary which resulted in accumulating snowfall region wide.
