A high end advisory level snowfall of generally 4 to 5 inches occurred. A trained spotter reported 5.3 inches at 1 ESE Hartsdale and 4.8 inches at 1 WSW Armonk. The public reported 4.0 inches at 1 N Larchmont.

Wider weather episode

Advisory and some Warning level snowfall occurred across SE New York. An quasi arctic / polar boundary moved across the region as elongated weak low pressure formed along the boundary and moved along the boundary to the east northeast. The region was on the cold side of the boundary which resulted in accumulating snowfall region wide.
