An advisory level snowfall occurred with a trained spotter reporting 3.7 inches in New City. Cocorahs observers reported 4.4 inches at 1.7 SSW Spring Valley and 3.8 inches at 1 NW Stony Point with public reports ranging from 3.4 to 3.9 inches.

Advisory and some Warning level snowfall occurred across SE New York. An quasi arctic / polar boundary moved across the region as elongated weak low pressure formed along the boundary and moved along the boundary to the east northeast. The region was on the cold side of the boundary which resulted in accumulating snowfall region wide.
