Amateur Radio reported 9.0 inches in Meriden, 7.0 inches in Cheshire, and 7.0 inches in Wallingford. Cocorahs reported 10.5 inches at 3.1 N Wallingford, 8.0 inches in Yalesville, and 7.8 inches at 2.3 W Southbury.

Wider weather episode

A progressive shortwave from the west overran a cold high pressure system resulting in a significant snowfall across the region. Warm advection aloft was the main driver of the snowfall for much of the event. A significant snowfall occurred across Southern Connecticut.
