A cocorahs observer reported 8.0 inches at 2.9 NNE Old Saybrook. Broadcast media reported 8.0 inches in Clinton. The public reported 7.7 inches at 2 NW Saybrook Manor.

Wider weather episode

A progressive shortwave from the west overran a cold high pressure system resulting in a significant snowfall across the region. Warm advection aloft was the main driver of the snowfall for much of the event. A significant snowfall occurred across Southern Connecticut.
