Cocorahs reported 8.0 inches at 1.7 NNE Old Lyme, 71. inches in New London, 6.5 inches in Niantic, 6.5 inches in East Lyme, 6.1 inches in Mystic, and 5.6 inches in Stonington.

Wider weather episode

A progressive shortwave from the west overran a cold high pressure system resulting in a significant snowfall across the region. Warm advection aloft was the main driver of the snowfall for much of the event. A significant snowfall occurred across Southern Connecticut.
