Light snow fell across the county during the afternoon and evening hours. Snowfall rates forced visibilities to fall to 1.5 miles at times at the Mankato Regional Airport. An inch of snow was measured in Mankato.
Wider weather episode
A clipper type system moved across southern Minnesota over the first weekend of December. Periods of light to moderate snow fell mainly south and west of the MN River Valley. Between 1 to 3 inches of snowfall fell across this region with the highest snowfall observations in Martin and Faribault counties.
