Light snow fell across the county during the afternoon and evening hours. Around one inch of snow was measured in New Ulm by CoCoRaHS observers.

Wider weather episode

A clipper type system moved across southern Minnesota over the first weekend of December. Periods of light to moderate snow fell mainly south and west of the MN River Valley. Between 1 to 3 inches of snowfall fell across this region with the highest snowfall observations in Martin and Faribault counties.

The top snowfall reports were:

3.1 inches in Fairmont, MN (Martin).

3.0 inches in Blue Earth, MN (Faribault).

2.0 inches in Winnebago, MN (Faribault).

2.0 inches 3 miles SE of Wells, MN (Faribault).

1.8 inches 3 miles E of Clarks Grove, MN (Freeborn).
