Cocorahs observers reported 3.6 inches in Little Falls and 3.5 inches in Hawthorne. A public report came in for 3.3 inches at 1 WNW Totowa. A trained spotter reported 3.6 inches in Hawthorne.

Wider weather episode

A progressive shortwave from the west overran a cold high pressure system resulting in a significant snowfall across the region. Warm advection aloft was the main driver of the snowfall for much of the event. An accumulating snowfall occurred across Northeastern New Jersey.
